Villa Solatio is a former farmhouse that has been restored with great care and respect for its history. Today, this charming holiday home combines authentic Tuscan character with a high level of comfort. Set on a fourteen-hectare estate in the Chianti Classico, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and oak forests, it offers an ideal setting for a relaxing and genuine Tuscan stay.
The location in the heart of Chianti provides easy access to the region’s renowned wineries, castles and picturesque towns. Siena, San Gimignano, Florence and Arezzo are all within convenient reach for day trips. Lecchi, four kilometres away, offers the well-known Ristorante Malborghetto and a small, well-stocked grocery shop. Additional shops and restaurants can be found in Radda, six kilometres away.
The outdoor areas highlight the beauty of the property. A courtyard beneath a pergola covered with old vines sits just outside the kitchen, creating a delightful space for outdoor meals. Nearby are an outdoor kitchen with a grill and a former bread oven now used for pizza, as well as a sheltered dining area with a large table. A terrace runs along the side of the house, opening up views of the surrounding countryside. Terracotta planters filled with flowering plants and lemon trees add Mediterranean charm, while the generous pool lies just a few steps away.
Inside, the rooms have been restored with sensitivity and attention to detail. Gently arched brick ceilings and rustic wooden beam ceilings lend a warm, traditional atmosphere. Terracotta floors and whitewashed walls provide a calm backdrop for artworks. A harmonious mix of rustic and contemporary furnishings, carefully selected textiles and decorative pieces creates a welcoming living environment. A retractable screen in the living room allows for enjoyable film evenings, complemented by a private billiard table.

Wir haben die Villa Solatio für eine Woche gebucht. Leider war das Wetter in der Zeit nicht besonders schön, es war kalt und hat auch oft geregnet. Somit waren wir auch gezwungen im Haus zu Essen etc. Wir dürften in der Saison 2026 die ersten Gäste gewesen sein. Es war alles sauber. Der Vermieter ist dann auch nach Aufforderung am nächsten Tage gekommen und hat die Heizung eingeschaltet, da wir z.T. Temperaturen von 8 Grad hatten. Danach ging es auch und es wurde wohnlicher.
Die Anfahrt zur Willa ist eine kleine Herausforderung. Ein SUV ist ideal, es ist z.T. sehr steil, kiesig und ausgewaschen. Ein tiefergelegtes Fahrzeug oder Sportwagen kommt nicht zur Villa!
Der Grundstück um die Villa ist eingezäunt, zwar steil aber terrassiert. Die Villa hat außen und innen viele Stufen (das stand bereits in einigen Bewertungen). Für Menschen mit einer Gehbehinderung ist die Villa nicht geeignet.
Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet.
Einrichtung. Wir haben jetzt nichts besonderes erwartet. Die Räume passen soweit. Manche Möbel wurden ausrangiert, weil alt, nicht mehr schön. Einige Sitzmöbel sind auch eher unbequem.
Einige stellen sind feucht, da blättert die Farbe von den Wänden, teilweise auch etwas Schimmel. Die Bäder sind ok, ein Fön für 4 Bäder ist jedoch zu wenig, da sollte der Vermieter vielleicht ein paar Euros investieren.
Wir hatten in den letzten Tagen immer einen Fuchs zu besuch, der war auch nicht scheu, ließ sich fast nicht vertreiben. Ich vermute mal das der gefüttert wird.
Die Umgebung erkunden war gut zu Fuß möglich, durch den Wald - sehr schön. Radfahren nur bedingt. E-Bike ist ok.
Wer absolute Ruhe sucht, für den ist die Villa gut geeignet. Wer täglich mit dem Auto raus will und was unternehmen möchte, der sollte sich etwas anderes suchen.Bedingt durch das schlechte Wetter, haben wir täglich was unternommen. Es gibt zahlreiche Ortschaften, Städte etc. die man besuchen kann. Fahrzeit mit dem Auto zum nächsten dorf nach Radda ca. 11-12 Min. Wir haben das Bettola dell Eroico und auch The Fork ausprobiert. Beides Restaurants können wir gut empfehlen. The Fork ist an FineDining angelehnt, die Küche ist top, der Wirt sehr nett. Küchenchef kommt auch raus und man kann auch zu Ihn gehen, ist aber etwas hochpreisiger. Bettola dell Eroico hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen, autentische Küche. Zum empfehlen ist auch die Feinkost Metzgerei Casa Porciatti. Hat Wurst, Käse, Semmeln und Wein. Aber auch fertige Nudelgerichte und Lassagne, Meesresfrüchtesalate etc. zum mitnehmen, wenn es mal schnell gehen muss oder man auch nur eine Brotzeit machen möchte.
