Vivaio, Radda in Chianti - Siena and Chianti

The house is alone standing without any neighbors on sight, so you have total privacy. The house is big enough for 3 families each with 2 older children with 6 bedrooms, so all children have separate bedrooms. And it is possible to accommodate 1 more family in the annex house near the pool. So together 4 families each with 2 children, together 16 people are possible with enough space for all. Also, the breakfast and dining area inside and outside the house is big enough for all. Well equipped kitchen. Really perfect and big pool. For the access road will recommend 4x4 and higher clearance vehicle. We found only one negative: When we arrive, after 11 hours of driving, the house was very bad cleaned which was pretty disappointing. But I need to emphasize that after a call with the manager she arranges new cleaning on the next day which was perfect. So, this was the only one negative but very unpleasant because it is the first thing you see after you enter the house. So, after the new cleaning everything was perfect and we spent great holiday in the Vivaio vila and the Chianti area and would like to return. Would recommend to the manager to change the cleaning company to the second one :-) Will highly recommend the neighbor Borgo Salcetino winery which is few minutes down the access road for wine tasing incl. meal and wine buy. We have stayed here for a number of years, many before the current owners bought it and also with the new owners.We love the house and location, Pietro and Serena are always great and cope with the inevitable water/power/appliance breakdowns with aplomb and a smile.

We have been to Vivaio many times, it has a great setting, whilst it is not perfect, it suits us and is a great holiday destination. It would not suit if you want luxury and it is a long way up a rough track.
