Was waren die Highlights Ihres Urlaubs? Diese absolute Ruhe - nur Vogelzwitschern und die Glocken einer Schafherde. Nicht zu vergessen die tollen Sonnenuntergänge.
Und der eingebaute Backofen - das ermöglichte es uns unser Brot selbst zu backen und nicht jeden morgen die steile Strasse und weitere 7 km zum nächsten Laden zu fahren.
überraschend war auch der gute Wasserdruck .
Wie war Ihr Gesamteindruck von der Unterbringung? Sehr schönes Anwesen - trotz des neuen Baujahres leider mit einigen Baumängeln versehen, die uns nicht weiter störten (z.B. hatte die Aussenmauer nach dem Duschen einen grossen Wasserfleck und in den Zimmern viel der Putz auf den unteren 5 cm von der Wand) , ziemlich abseits gelegen aber mit einem tollen Erholungsfaktor
Gab es unangenehme Überraschungen? Nein eigentlich nicht. Wir waren allerdings über die Zufahrt etwas erstaunt. Die 900 m unbefestigte Strasse (wie in der Beschreibung) stellte sich als ziemlich steil und mit vielen grossen Schlaglöchern versehen heraus. Für tiefergelegte Fahrzeuge unpassierbar - für uns (Opel Astra Kombi) kein Problem. Wir fragten uns allerdings schon wie das bei starkem Regen aussehen würde.
Haben Sie andere Anmerkungen? Die Wegbeschreibung ist auf den letzten 20 km irreführend. Ich würde es dahingehend abändern:
... den Ort Bacciliano durchqueren und solange Richtung Roccalbegna fahren bis man zu einer Abzweigung kommt an der es links nach Stribuligiano geht (Keine der früheren Abzweigungen nach Cana nehmen). Hier links abfahren und nach genau einem Kilometer sieht man das Schild an dem man sofort links zur Fattoria La Pieve abbiegt.
Der Pool war mit ca. 17°C extrem kalt - was recht schade war, da wir uns gerade auf den Pool sehr gefreut haben. Für uns unverständlich, da mit geringen Aufwand von 1-2 Solarzellen, der Pool angenehm beheizbar wäre.
Bei schlechtem Wetter ist der Wohnraum eigentlich für 4 Erwachsene zu klein (das Sofa reicht gerade für 2 Personen und ist leider auch nicht gerade rückenschonend, sprich ziemlich durchgesessen)
Um für 4 Erwachsene zu kochen gab es eigentlich zuwenige grosse Töpfe und eine Salatschüssel haben wir auch vermisst.

Overall impression: Really lovely, clean nicely decorated, well equiped, just great. It was perfect.
Highlights: The view from the pool over the hills.
Unpleasant surprises: No not at all, except for the supermarket blip as we arrived on the Saturday hoping to do a big shop and found no supermarket in Roccalbegna and would have stopped in Grossetto had we known.

Overall impression: Fantastic. The most beautiful spot. Perfect for a taste of Toscana.
Highlights: Visiting all of the truly amazing places and being out of the usual tourist area. We really got to taste traditional food and understand the culture. The accommodation and the views were out of this world.
Unpleasant surprises: Suggestion - On the website it is not clear how isolated you are. You are a long way from any services. WE found it OK and adapted. The drive into the property is rough and could use some improvements. -
There are many stairs - This would be good knowledge for someone with
injuries etc. There is no way you could walk to a village for supplies.

However I felt it was very important to feed back to you on our Tuscan break.
We were very impressed with your whole service. The mail regarding what is in the local area was very helpful, and the whole process seemed to be very efficient.

Your web site is great. That is the reason we booked with you, your site is very easy to use and provides good information and lots of photos. This has been our first totally booked on line holiday and your site has given us the confidence to do it again,
Our Accommodation Anna was fantastic. It was very very clean and exceptionally well equipped. The whole site was much better than we imagined. Very well designed and up kept. We were looking for a very quite tucked away location and that is exactly what we got.
Luca the manager needs to be congratulated on his level of service provided. We had a very friendly but professional welcome. His English was brilliant. He helped us plan our week informing us of lots of local places to eat and things to see, Gave us directions on how to get to places. He was generally very welcoming friendly professional and extremely helpful. Could not ask for anymore.
Our whole holiday was a highlight but sitting in the quite on a sun lounger on the veranda of our villa over looking the Tuscan hills is hard to beat especially in the sun at the end of September.
We had one unpleasant surprise on our journey back to the airport when we missed Rome's ring road and ended up heading straight for the centre of Rome. But we managed to find our way back after a bit of a struggle. So if any improvements are to be made I think to highlight which turn off has to be taken would help . I.e pointing out what the exit sign actually says as it is not that clear when you are looking for it. And I can assure you it is pretty scary heading your way into the centre of Rome.
To conclude we had a great break, your company provided a great efficient service. But it has to bee said Luca and his resort were absolutely fantastic.
