Villa Giacinto at San Regolo in Brolio
Location address: San Regolo - Siena
You enter Villa Giacinto via a large covered terrace. The front door opens directly into the lounge/kitchen/diner. This is a lovely light area with glass doors to the front and rear and a further window overlooking the garden to the side.
The kitchen area is at the rear of the room on the left hand side and has painted fitted units with dishwasher, oven, gas hobs and a free standing fridge/freezer. To one side is a wooden table with six chairs painted to match the kitchen units. There is a sofa along one wall and a flat screen TV with satellite and DVD player.
To the right of the living area is a small corridor leading to the ground floor bedroom with double bed with an antique style brass headboard, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe and a door leading out to the garden. At the end of the corridor next to the bedroom is a lovely tiled bathroom with full sized bath with hand held shower, basin, bidet and WC.
Stairs from the corridor take you up to the first floor. Immediately on your right is the second bathroom which has a large corner shower, basin, WC and bidet. At the top of the stairs to the left is a large storage cupboard. The second bedroom has double bed, dressing table and matching painted wardrobe. Please note that it is possible to change the beds to twins if required, please advise us of the configuration you require at the time of booking.
Outside there is a very large covered terrace at the front of the house furnished with dining table and six chairs. To the left of the entrance is a raised grass area planted with trees and a further narrower garden at the rear of the villa which both the living area and ground floor bedroom open onto.
The villa has two bedrooms and two bathrooms one with a full size bath and outside spaces on three sides of the house.
Air conditioning - available and charged for use.
Small dogs are welcome, there is an extra weekly charge for their stay, payable at the property.

Villa Giacinto at San Regolo in Brolio

San Regolo in Brolio is a lovely brand new hamlet with a small collection of villas located on the edge of the village of San Regolo, and is within easy walking distance of the centre of the village.
The hamlet consists of 5 buildings housing a total of 8 apartments, each of the villas have been thoughtfully and tastefully put together, with each accommodation having their own private garden and terrace. In addition, each villa also has its own private garage for guests use.
Located on a lower terrace to the rear of the hamlet is the shared salt water swimming pool. This is a fantastic location boasting wonderful views across the vineyards and countryside to Siena and Monte Amiata in the distance behind the medieval city.
From the hamlet it’s a short walk up hill to the famous Brolio castle, which is surrounded by its own vineyards. You can visit the castle where the 32nd Baron Ricasolli and his family live. There is a restaurant serving traditional Tuscan food and you can have a wine tasting in the tasting rooms.

Pool Info
The large infinity salt water pool is located on a lower lever than the houses. It is surrounded by a pretty lawn and paved area, with a shower to one side. The entire pool area is fenced, making this an ideal property for young families. There are sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool.
The wide open views over the countryside, onto Siena and beyond can be admired from this area while you enjoy a cooling dip after a warm Tuscan day. The pool can be seen from the houses.
There is a very shallow baby pool, divided from the main pool by a metal railing, it's a good size for children to play in.
It is 15x6 meters and 1.2-2.2 meters deep. Open from May to October.

Nearest town
The nearest village is San Regolo, which is a tiny village about 100 meters away. Within 1km you get to Brolio Castle which is a lovely wine estate with a wine tasting room, and a castle to visit. Here there is a second good restaurant. Gaiole in Chianti is a town about 11km away, it has a grocery shop, baker, post office, bank and several other facilities.

Gestaltung und Aufbau des Hauses waren super. Die Austattung der Räume und Bäder und insbesondere der Küche waren gut. Der Außenbereich und die Terasse waren sehr gepflegt und herrlich zum Frühstücken oder Grillen. Die Lage des Ferienhauses war sehr gut, die Ruhe war einmalig für Erholungs-Suchende.
Die Beschilderung innerhalb von San Regolo war nicht gut. Wir mussten uns durchfragen, da wir die Villa sonst nicht gefunden hätten. Eine etwas bequemere Couch im Wohnbereich wäre toll gewesen. Das ist aber auch der einzige Kritikpunkt.
Siena, San Gimignano, Montepulciano und Burg Brolio haben uns sehr gut gefallen.

I enjoyed the swimming pool, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen easy to use and aboveall i loved the gardens with mature tomatoes. We had not to make the housework at the end of the journey and it was a great comfort too. Il enjoyed a lot our holidays at villa giacinto.
Noting. As soon as we arrived on the place, I felt on holidays even if we had 2 days to come by car from our own house.
We appreciated to visit Siena and Firenze; nevertheless, staying at the villa and at the swimming pool was a great pleasure.

Die herrliche Lage, der schöne, große und gepflegte Pool, der öffentliche Garten mit leckeren Kräutern, Moskitonetze vor allen Türen und Fenstern, bei Wunsch Klimaanlage
Nicht so privat wie die Objekte in den Jahren zuvor, die Ausstattung der Küche eher dürftig mit scharfen Messern, Töpfen, Salatschüsseln; man merkte, dass die Objekte in den Jahren zuvor von den Eigentümern zeitweise mitgenutzt wurden, es fehlte etwas "Seele", der Lärm aus den Nachbarobjekten

Avez vous d'autres commentaires? Pour les amateurs de gastronomie un petit guide des tables traditionnelles type sans regolo ou san sano près de lecchi serait le bien venu de mçeme que pour les producteurs de bon chianti et de pecorrino.

Auch die Verwalterin vor Ort war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Rundum eine ganz tolle Woche mit Besuchen in Siena, Florenz, Marina die Grosseto, Castello die Brolio und natürlich Weinproben an der Chiantigiana in Castellina, Radda und Greve sowie Gaiole.

I like To Tuscany, partly because it has a tremendous range of villas, and partly because (unlike many companies) it has an excellent website that provides what you really want when choosing a villa.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
