Villa location
Guest reviews: Bagnaccio

The Villa is magnificent. Immaculately clean, superbly equipped and furnished with stylish and appropriate period furnishings. Some 5 star hotels could learn a lot from the owners of this outstanding villa.
The gardens are full of luscious, sweet-smelling lavender and rosemary. An absolute haven for butterflies and insects.
The pool? It is serene and a good size. It is set so as to provide what can only be described as a breath-taking view.
The setting. In the middle of a hill surrounded by a wild oak forest (with deer, wild boar, foxes, buzzards etc), with a vineyard on one side, an olive grove tucked into the hillside on the other and a view along the valley to Radda sitting magnificently on the brow of a hill. Radda sits perfectly symmetrical with the church tower in the middle surrounded by Tuscan cypress, vineyards, fields and forest. Depending on the time of day it is like a landscape from a Renaissance painting, a Constable or a Cezanne. We never failed to be mesmerised by this view no matter the time of the day or evening. Do not miss the dawn, however. The sun creeps into view over the hill on your left, the mist rises along the valley revealing the vineyards and forest. The swallows come to scoop a drink from the pool, performing an aeronautical display in the process and the whole world comes alive around you.
The road to the Villa through the forest is fun, a bit ropey at points, but the 4 wheel car we hired coped with it no problem.
Radda is a stunning town. Plenty of restaurants, enotecas, and shops.
This is also a wine lover's paradise. There is a different winery to visit at every turn. We counted 16 in close proximity!
We love Bagnaccio.
