Campo al Sole, Gaiole in Chianti - Siena and Chianti
Campo al Sole is a perfectly private retreat for two, quietly set in the rolling hills of the Chianti Classico. This traditional stone cottage sits among vineyards, olive groves and oak woodlands, offering wide, uninterrupted views of the iconic Tuscan landscape. The large pool is a real highlight, as is the terrace where guests can enjoy meals at sunset or simply relax with a good book.
The location is ideal for exploring the region. The Cantalici winery is just a five-minute drive or a 30-minute walk from the house. Castello di Brolio and Castello di Ama, the latter also home to an impressive collection of contemporary art, are each about 15 minutes away by car. The town of Gaiole in Chianti with restaurants, bike rentals, and a small COOP supermarket lies 8 km away, and the charming town of Radda is also within easy reach. Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, and Arezzo are all great options for day trips.
The stone-built villa features a wraparound terrace on two sides, creating plenty of space to relax outdoors. Beneath the pergola, a dining table and chairs provide a charming setting for open-air meals. The spacious pool, located about 50 metres from the house, is reserved exclusively for guests.
Inside, the holiday home has a rustic, colourful charm, with hand-painted wall murals and carefully chosen details that give the space a warm and inviting feel.
The ground floor of the house is closed and used to store farming equipment. As Campo al Sole is surrounded by vineyards, occasional activity from vineyard workers may occur and adds to the authentic rural experience.
This villa can be booked for arrival on any day except Saturday.
