Capannino is a charming holiday home, perfect for two guests, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the beauty of the Tuscan countryside. Set within a large garden full of fruit and olive trees, the villa provides a serene and private atmosphere. Located just 6 km from Siena, Capannino offers easy access to the city’s famous sights, as well as supermarkets and a wide variety of shops.
Close to the villa, guests will find several nearby restaurants, including the Antica Trattoria Botteganova, and a bakery just 1 km away. Wine lovers will appreciate the nearby San Giorgio a Lapi winery, which offers wine tastings. For those keen to explore the surrounding area by bike, the villa’s location along the route of the famous vintage cycling event L’Eroica offers a unique chance to ride part of this iconic trail. Day trips to the nearby Val d’Orcia, as well as Florence, Arezzo, and Cortona, are easily possible.
The villa’s exterior boasts a traditional stone structure, with a large shaded terrace perfect for outdoor dining or relaxing. The terrace features a dining table and an electric grill, allowing guests to enjoy meals while taking in the peaceful surroundings. The garden is beautifully maintained, with blooming terracotta pots adding to the charm.
Inside, the villa combines traditional Tuscan style with modern, open-plan interiors. Wooden beam ceilings and terracotta floors are complemented by large glass sliding doors that let in natural light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere.
For those interested in Tuscan culture, the friendly owner offers cooking classes at her nearby farmhouse, and horseback riding is available at a local stable. Capannino is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the best of Tuscany.

Das Häuschen ist zwar klein, aber fein und hat alles, was man benötigt. Wir haben uns rundrum wohlgefühlt und der riesige, komplett eingezäunte Garten hat unsere Hunde sehr gefreut :-) Chiara ist eine wunderbare, sehr nette Vermieterin, die mit vielen Ausflugstipps helfen konnte.
Das direkt anschließende Nachbargrundstück ist ständig bewohnt, aber man fühlt sich nicht beobachtet o.ä.
Die Aussicht vom Capannino aus ist überwältigend, der Garten mit seinen vielen verschiedenen Obstbäumen und natürlich Oliven einfach ein Traum.
Direkt am Grundstück führt eine vielbefahrene Straße vorbei, was uns aber nicht gestört hat.
Wir kommen sehr gerne irgendwann wieder :-)Siena ist eine fantastische Stadt mit vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten und beeindruckenden Bauten. Mittwochs ist vormittags ein gigantischer Markt, den man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte. Die Stadt selbst ist nicht so überfüllt wie Florenz (ca. eine Autostunde entfernt), unheimlich sauber und unbedingt sehenswert!
