Casa Marina, Radda in Chianti - Siena and Chianti

The apartment and the village of Radda both exceeded our expectations. It's a lovely, tranquil space equipped with everything you need and nothing you don't, and you step right out into an utterly charming village that we're missing still as we continue our Tuscan adventures. Holly was incredibly supportive during our disrupted travel experience due to a cancelled flight in Paris. And she and Giada gave us excellent guidance on unloading in a pedestrian-only zone upon arrival. We also highly recommend Bar Dante, a quick walk away, for any meal of the day or evening, and Bettola, an easy, picturesque walk from our door, where we had fresh, delicious meals as well. In short, we loved every aspect of our stay. We highly recommend Casa Marina and Radda. Buon divertimento!

Besides Bar Dante and Bettola, we also happened to be there during the religious festival Festa del Perdona, the Festival of Forgiveness. It included an amazing array of vendor stalls of all kinds, communal food in the small central piazza, and the most incredible fireworks display we've seen in years, with the added drama of boisterous Italian commentary as soundtrack.

Restaurant Olinto wine en food is een aanrader. Pizza Pie heel geschikt voor het afhalen van een familie pizza. De pizza is zo groot dat je er met het hele gezin van kan eten. Restaurant Dante naast pizza pie zou ik de volgende keer overslaan. Het eten was niet lekker. Florence en Siena zijn prachtige steden. Die moet je zeker bezoeken.

Easy driving distance to Siena and Florence along with multiple lovely locations in Toscana.

We loved our stay at Casa Marina. Luca and Holly met us at check in and helped us find parking due the feast. The apartment was perfectly located. There are three floors, bedroom and bathroom on bottom floor, second flioor with kitchen and living room, then second bedroom and bathroom on third floor so be prepared to carry luggage upstairs. Radda is such a cute town we absolutely loved it. I definitely would recommend Casa Marina for your stay in Tuscany!
Suggestion would be to have a couple of bottled waters upon arrival!

We thought the restaurants were great and the fact that we could walk to them was even better!! We loved Giovanni's, the steak and owners were amazing!

I had the most wonderful 4 weeks at Casa Marina. It really was just perfect for me, and the town of Radda is a little gem. The house was gorgeous and very very comfortable. Everything you could want or need was there - including sharp kitchen knives - which sounds ridiculous but if you like to cook you will know how frustrating dull knives in a rental can be!! Holly was amazing and SO helpful - I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Thank you Holly for being so helpful, kind and generally just amazing! I loved my stay at casa Marina and I cannot think of a single thing that could have been better…. And that fan you brought was a lifesaver during the heatwave so thanks again for that. I will always have very special memories of Radda and your gorgeous little townhouse.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Marina! It is a delightful townhouse situated in the heart of Radda - we felt like we were living among the locals. The evenings and nights were extremely peaceful - we slept better than at home. We had everything we needed in the house and were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the artwork the owner has throughout the house. The views from the balcony and top bedroom were incredible!! There was always ample parking close by. We were able to collect fresh water from the fountain area everyday - both naturale and frizzante. Holly is so lovely and warm - she goes out of her way to make sure all is perfect before and during your stay, and was available at all times. We will definitely stay at Casa Marina again - we thought we would try a town stay this time and completely loved it - the whole experience was idyllic!!

Radda has a large choice of restaurants and places to eat and drink and simply watch the world go by. There are also some cute little shops. Casa Porciatti is a great deli with local top quality produce and a good choice of wines and spirits as well as other necessities you might need. They also do wine tasting! For a bigger shop, there is a local co-op about a 10 min walk away. The most amazing views surround Radda - we saw it in a new way everyday! We ate in a lovely restaurant called Olinto - the food and wine was delicious (try the beef cheeks!!) La Bottega di Giovannino is also a lovely little Osteria literally a couple of minutes from Casa Marina. Radda is a perfect base for visiting all the surrounding beauties in the area - we visited Siena, San Gimignano, Castellina In Chianti, Monteriggioni and lots of the smaller villages nearby. The market in Panzano on Sundays is worth a visit. We had no problem parking back in Radda after each of our days out.
