Toen wij aankwamen overtrof het onze verwachting, wat een mooie plek en wat een rust en privicy.
Degene die de sleutel zou overhandigen stond al in het plaatsje klaar en we konden zo achter hem aanrijden.
De eerste keer is het wel een dingentje om naar boven te rijden. Op sommige stukken best wel stijl en wat scherpe bochten maar oefening baart kunst. Wij hebben de hele vakantie prachtig mooi weer gehad en genoten van het zitten op het terras en zwemmen in het zwembad. Wanneer je wat moeilijk ter been ben is de weg naar het zwembad wel lastig om er te komen moet je redelijk afdalen en terug weer klimmen. Gezonde mensen zullen hier overigens geen last van hebben.

Restaurants zijn er genoeg, in Greve heerlijk gegeten en ook in Figline. We hebben Siena, San Gimignano, Voltera, en nog wat van die plaatsen bezocht. Ontzettend leuk en lekker Italiaans.

Wunderschöne Lage und sehr schöner Garten mit Pool. Das Haus großzügig und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht.
Die Zufahrt ist allerdings herausfordernd -steil und schlecht befestigt!

Wir waren gerne im Farm Shop Pizzeria di Sting e Trudie - sehr gutes Speisen, allerdings nur bei Schönwetter

Lovely views from the terraces outside the house. The kitchen was very well-equipped and the house very comfortable, so it was perfect for a holiday of cooking and relaxing. The access road was fine for our saloon car. Despite the secluded and very private location, it was not too far to the excellent Coop supermarket at Figline.

Casetta Busecchio is een leuk huis en ligt op een prachtige plek met schitterend uitzicht maar is slecht te bereiken. Het grindpad is niet alleen steil maar ook smal en vol bochten en gaten. Het was steeds weer een uitdaging om boven te komen zelfs voor ervaren chauffeurs. Hier moet echt onderhoud aan gepleegd worden. Het huis is niet geschikt voor een gezin met kinderen onder de 4 jaar. Overal zijn (ongelijke) traptreden dus we moesten onze dreumes van 1 1/2 jaar doorlopend in de gaten houden. Hetzelfde gold voor het terras, dat hebben we moeten afbakenen met bloembakken omdat het meteen daarachter flink steil is. Zo ook de afdaling naar het zwembad.
Voor volwassenen te doen maar jonge kinderen moeten erheen getild worden worden.

Osteria la Cantina in Greve in Chianti is geweldig. Heerlijk eten en super vriendelijk personeel. Pisa en Firenze natuurlijk toeristisch, Lucca de moeite van een bezoek zeker waard, botanische rozentuin voorbij Greve in Chianti was leuk maar verouderd en bij wijngaard Verrazzano kun je lekker eten en heb je een mooi uitzicht.

the outdoor space at the restaurant in Dudda (details are in the guest information book) was lovely, highly recommend. The pizza in Lucolena was delicious. Again details are in the book. Do make sure you book, these places are popular with locals and are often booked out.

As mentioned by a previous reviewer the pictures for this villa don't do its secluded location and superb views justice - it would be difficult to capture it in static pictures to be honest given the range of views and 'zones' on the plot. The villa is at the end of a climbing track and there is nothing overlooking or nearby to spoil its secluded location higher up in the valley. The plot has a number of different areas to relax including the pool, but the terrace (accessible directly from the kitchen and the 'living room') is a perfect place to eat, drink and enjoy the views and wildlife - we were lucky enough to be there in firefly season and what an incredible sight as dusk that was. The house is really well equipped and we found the wifi to be excellent. The access road has a steep part half a mile or so before the house but this was fine for our normal front-wheel-drive car and no problem for the vans accessing a property at a different location! This is our third To-Tuscany villa and the best equipped and most private and most secluded to date. The towns of Figline Valdarno and Montevarchi are less than 30 min drive away and provide easy access to Florence via the train and excellent Co-op supermarkets. All of the attractions of the Chianti area are within an easy drive. I would definitely go back and would strongly recommend! And for wine to enjoy on the terrace, look no further than the Chianti Riserva from the Fattoria Ottavio in the valley and on the road to the 'main' road. As good as wine we tried for three times the price!

We loved the Chianti towns of Greve and Radda and restaurants in Lecci and Panziano. The best restaurant (although pricey and a 50 min drive) was La Locanda di Pietracupa in Madonna di Pietracupa however. Really easy access to Florence by train from Figline. For wine the Fattoria Ottavio place in the valley was as good as any - great value and the Riserva was superb.

Meestal zijn de plaatjes in de reisgids mooier dan de werkelijkheid. Hier echter andersom! De villa ligt op een uitgestrekt terrein met meerdere terrassen. Prachtig uitzicht en rust. In huis is alles, maar dan ook alles aanwezig, bv. een uitgebreid servies, vele glazen, zodat de vaatwasser volledig gevuld kan worden voor dat de voorraad op is. 2 koel-vriescombinaties is ook ideaal voor een goede voorraad. Wij hadden van te voren boodschappen gedaan in Figliano (Lidl), maar troffen in huis een soort starterspakket aan: water , brood e.d. Wij waren eind mei, begin juni in de villa. Door de regen was het huis nog wat koel en klammig. De houtkachel kan dit probleem verhelpen, maar wij merkten dat de rookgeur door het hele huis hing ( lek in rookkanaal?) Al met al een zeer geslaagde locatie. De route beschrijving naar het huis klopte volledig. De weg is dus niet verhard en het kost ongeveer 10 minuten om de regionale geasfalteerde weg te bereiken.

Mooiste ligging en gezelligste restaurant: Lamole op zondag middag ,lunch. Wij hadden eerst een week in Florence doorgebracht en hebben dus alleen plaatsen daar buiten bezocht: Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Pisa, Lucca, Greve en Radda, Arezzo.
