Il Rattoppo is a charming villa set in peaceful Tuscan countryside and offers an ideal retreat for two guests seeking relaxation, privacy and authentic character. Surrounded by beautifully maintained and extensive gardens, guests can enjoy wonderful panoramic views across the Val di Chiana. With its cosy atmosphere and romantic setting, this cottage is perfect for a tranquil escape.

The nearest towns for shopping and restaurants are Bettolle and Torrita di Siena, both less than a 15-minute drive away. Wine lovers will appreciate that several wineries, including Cantina Canaio and Stefano Amerighi, are just five minutes away and offer tastings. The historic town of Cortona, with its ancient city walls, Santa Maria Assunta Cathedral and the Franciscan convent Le Celle, is only 17 km away. Camucia at the foot of Cortona offers larger supermarkets. Lake Trasimeno is just 25 minutes away, and Arezzo, Siena and Perugia are also excellent destinations for memorable day trips.

The Il Rattoppo estate is over a hundred years old and consists of the main farmhouse and the brick-built holiday cottage opposite. Fragrant roses grow in front of the cottage and the extensive garden with flowers, fruit trees, olive trees and rose bushes invites guests to relax and stroll. Various seating areas throughout the garden and a generous pool provide many opportunities to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Inside, the cottage has been carefully restored, preserving its Tuscan character with terracotta floors, wooden beamed ceilings and a large fireplace. It is lovingly and comfortably furnished, with attention to detail, and offers everything needed for a relaxing holiday.

The friendly owners live in the main house, are happy to answer questions and share their local knowledge, while always respecting guests’ privacy.
