La Pergola, Terranuova Bracciolini - Arezzo and Cortona
This thoroughly modern villa, set in a rural location near the city of Arezzo, will perfectly suit a family or small group of friends who wish to get away from it all, yet still want a village nearby and a city within easy reach. The upside-down arrangement of the interiors allows guests to make the best of the sweeping views of the countryside from the living areas, while the bedrooms on the ground floor stay cool. Light floods into all the rooms, thanks to large windows and glazed doors, while the décor throughout is contemporary and the furnishings comfy.
But you can’t top having your own wellness room on site – small but perfectly formed, it features exercise equipment and a lounge area. This is the place to get your heart rate up, before unwinding in the sauna or Jacuzzi, then jumping in for a refreshing dip in your private pool. In fact, outside in the spacious gardens there are plenty of secluded places to pull up a chair or lounger. Head down to the pretty stone patio that surrounds the large pond or relax on one of the two furnished terraces.
The owner lives in a separate part of the building with a private entrance and may occasionally use the pool.Two small dogs live on site. The wi-fi is available on the first floor only.

Al 25 jaar vieren wij de zomervakantie met ons gezin in Italie en al vaak waren we in Toscane. Huize la Pergola is een leuk huis voorzien van alle gemakken en een heerlijk privé zwembad. Het uitzicht vanaf het terras is subliem. De slaapvertrekken en alle sanitaire voorzieningen waren beneden en het leefgedeelte op de 1e etage. Geen probleem maar het was wel veel trappenlopen. De eigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam en met regelmaat werden we getrakteerd op een tas met verse groenten uit eigen tuin. Het huis was comfortabel genoeg maar wel jammer dat er nergens horren waren, waardoor je makkelijk muggen en wespen binnenkreeg. Wat ons heel erg is tegengevallen is het water dat uit alle kranen komt. En dat hebben wij in die 25 jaar nog niet eerder meegemaakt. De watervoorziening is kennelijk aangesloten op een thermische bron, maar de geur die dat met zich meebracht is ronduit verschrikkelijk. De zwavelgeur, te vergelijken met de lucht van rotte eieren, was misselijkmakend. Koud of warm water maakte geen verschil en de geur verdween pas nadat je de kraan had uitgezet. Jammer, jammer, jammer. Nergens hebben wij hierover gelezen van tevoren, ook niet in de reviews, anders hadden wij dit huis nooit gehuurd.Il solito Posto voor heerlijke pizza en vis Ristorante Macelleria, fantastisch vleesrestaurant La Fraschetta Bij alledrie heerlijk gegeten, allen op 5 minuten rijden van het huis
