We had a wonderful 3-week stay at Salve Regina and enjoyed the property immensely. The owner quickly responded to all our inquiries and diligently maintains the property.

The property is a short walk to a wonderful restaurant, La Baracchina, and just down the road from another spot we loved, Il Borgo Machiavelli, for food, wine, and great views. We also enjoyed La Trattoria di Sor Paolo which was in very close proximity with a great Tuscan vibe. The nearby town of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, has a number of lovely cafes and restaurants as well as other useful shops. We also arranged for a chef to conduct a cooking class for my sister's birthday which was a huge hit. The proximity of the villa to Florence was also a very important part of making our visit so memorable.

This is a lovely house full of Tuscan character, in a beautiful setting surrounded by olive groves and mature trees. The pool is excellent in a nice setting. There are lovely sitting out areas for barbeques and one area with a magnificent panoramic view of the countryside.
It is very well placed for visiting local small towns, or taking the local bus into the centre of Florence. It was only 10 minutes drive from the very good local coop. There is an excellent booklet at the house giving a lot of local information, or the owner can provide more.
Overall it was very comfortable and our mixed age group had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

We had several meals at the local restaurant La Barracchina and we also had a meal at the restaurant at Machievelli's house (a little more expensive). At both restaurants the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was very good and typically tuscan. The local town of San Casciano was very pleasant to visit for coffee or the attractive small shops.

Machiavelli house was great

The perfect Tuscan home. The house is immaculate and the hosts were lovely, the house book was full of information on the area. There was nothing we did not love about this beautiful traditional home. It's authentic and has everything you need for a wonderful holiday. Multiple terraces for dinning and the pool area was so relaxing. We would love to stay again when we next visit Tuscany.

Das Haus hat alles was man braucht: toller Pool, super Outdoorküche, viele Flächen zum gemeinsamen Aufenthalt und viel toskanischer Charme! Auch die Lage nahe Florenz und weiteren Highlights der Region ist toll!

Die Sauberkeit insgesamt war in Ordnung. Bei der Sauberkeit in der Küche aber gibt es Grund zur Kritik. Bei unserer Ankunft gab es bräunliche Flecken auf der Arbeitsfläche, in den Schubladen lagen Krümel und Essensreste, das Geschirr in den Schränken war komplett verdreckt. Das lag vermutlich daran, dass die Düsen in der Spülmaschine komplett verstopft und verdreckt waren. Ebenso das Sieb. Wir haben also alles auseinander genommen und gereinigt, erst danach konnte man die Spülmaschine benutzen.

Fazit:

Vielleicht mal eine Grundreinigung durchführen und insbesondere in der Küche mehr wert auf Sauberkeit legen, dann fühlt man sich zu absolut 100% wohl.

Aber der Gesamteindruck der Unterkunft bleibt trotzdem sehr positiv! Wir haben den Aufenthalt trotzdem sehr genossen und würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Great position for visit to Florence. Close to lovely countryside and beautiful little villages and restaurants. Pool area lovely plenty of beds ,very tranquil are to relax.Beautiful gardens very well kept.

We enjoyed wine tasting at Perre di Perseto,lovely cheese and olive oil too.

Unsere Erwartungen an das auch landschaftlich schön gelegene Ferienhaus und den Poolbereich wurden bei weitem übertroffen und wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in der Salve Regina. Das Ferienhaus hatte zudem eine optimale Ausgangslage um Städte wie Siena oder Florenz zu besuchen.

Ein absolutes Highlight unseres Aufenthalts war der Besuch im Restaurant La Baracchina, das unweit vom Ferienhaus entfernt liegt.

The villa was very nice, also the pool. Everything was clean and the interior design was lovely. Kitchen was well equipped. All in all we had a very nice stay.
