Villa Camporata 10, Gaiole in Chianti - Siena and Chianti
The ideal holiday home for mixed groups or families, Villa Camporata is an attractive property – both inside and out – and is just five minute s drive from the lively market town of Gaiole in Chianti, which is also one of the five main Chianti towns. Set in mature, flower-filled gardens with a lovely pool, the three-storey typical Tuscan villa offers masses of space for both small and large groups.
With two living rooms, two kitchens and two dining areas at your disposal, you won’t get under each other’s feet here. The ground-floor living area is in the converted cellar and is open-plan, divided by a stone archway, while the similarly opened-up room on the first floor, has a high vaulted ceiling, which increases the sense of space. The traditional terracotta floors are warmed by rugs, while examples of the talented owner’s needlework complete the homely décor throughout. When the sun shines, head to your private pool. Set in a secluded part of the garden, it is partially screened by mature hedging and trees. Then, as the day draws to a close, choose from one of two furnished terraces for your sundowner, before enjoying a communal dinner under the stars.

Our Thoughts
We love this villa for the space it affords large parties, and the mixed bedroom make-ups, and fabulous facilities, mean it will suit all types of guests – from mixed grown-up groups to families holidaying together. The beautiful gardens are a peaceful retreat and having the lively town of Gaiole on the doorstep means our guests have the best of both worlds here.
Notes
The owners live in the main house next door and there is a neighbouring rental villa on the estate, but they do not share the gardens or pool. The second-floor bedroom is also an office area and is open to the stairs, with a wrought iron balustrade separating it from the living space. However, the beds are not visible from below.
There is a ceiling fan in every room.

Guest reviews: Villa Camporata 10
We had a most marvellous week with our family of 10, which included 4 children under the age of 7. Eleanora, the property manager was very helpful with anything we required and was minutes away when we needed her. She also recommended activites, such as the outdoor teatro in town that all of us enjoyed. The villa is absolutely perfect, full of character and modern conveniences. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool. We loved the walking proximity to Gaiole. With the villa, you also get access to a private lake, less than one kilometre up the hill. Great for a refreshing swim in a serene surrounding. We rented ebikes from Tuscany Bicycles and used them to get around everywhere. The town of Gaiole has everything one needs including a well stocked grocery store and wonderful restaurants. Our favourite restaurants were: Osteria al Ponte, Lo Sfizio, La Gorgia Vino e Cucina and Il Papavero.
