Villa Gittori, Gaiole in Chianti - Siena and Chianti
Villa Gittori is a beautifully restored holiday home in a peaceful hilltop location, offering sweeping views of the iconic Chianti Classico landscape, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. The spacious, well-kept garden with Mediterranean plants, inviting seating areas and a stunning pool makes this the perfect place to relax with family or friends. A covered terrace provides the ideal setting for long, leisurely meals outdoors.
The villa is just minutes from Gaiole in Chianti, where you’ll find good restaurants, small shops, a COOP supermarket and bike rentals for exploring the magnificent surroundings on two wheels. The renowned Capannelle winery can be reached in 15 minutes on foot, while the famous Castello di Brolio is only 20 minutes away by car. Day trips to Siena, Florence, Arezzo or San Gimignano are also easy to plan from here.
This three-storey holiday home has been lovingly restored with great attention to detail. Original terracotta floors, white-painted wooden beam ceilings and exposed stone walls highlight its historic charm and reflect traditional Tuscan craftsmanship. Our stay at Villa Gitori was wonderful. A beautiful villa equipped with all modern conveniences, a spacious garden and a lovely swimming pool. The villa is within walking distance of the centre of Gaiole, where there are a number of good restaurants. Other towns such as Radda, Siena and San Gimignano are also within easy reach. The manager, Lorenzo, is always available, has good tips for restaurants and places of interest, and is above all very friendly. We certainly hope to return to Gaiole. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Villa Gitori is definitely recommended.
Our favourite restaurants in Gaiole: Osteria Al Ponte and La Gorgia. Radda also has some excellent restaurants, such as Bettola dell'Eroico and Pizza Pie for those who enjoy large, delicious pizzas.
