Il Forno at Borgo di Matraia, Matraia - Capannori - Lucca and Viareggio
Borgo di Matraia is a wonderful rustic estate situated high on a hillside. From this vantage point guests can enjoy stunning, panoramic views of Lucca and the surrounding hills and countryside. The town of Matraia is only 1.5km away and is within walking distance. Access to the sparkling swimming pool is down a flight of stone steps a few metres from the rental villas. The pool terrace is situated in the lower garden and offers some breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, distant mountains and hillside villages.
The small estate comprises of the two rental villas and the owners house. Il Forno is attached to the owners residence on one side, while Il Fienile is an independent building. Both villas offer wonderful terraces with beautiful views.

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Woche bei Marina und Ihrem Mann verbracht.
Empfangen wurden wir schon mit einem tollen Korb mit selbst angebauten Tomaten, Gurken und Basilikum, einer Flasche Wein und einer gekühlten Flasche Wasser!
Marina hat uns alles erklärt, gezeigt, viele Tipps gegeben und uns auch bei den Reservierungen in den umliegenden Restaurants geholfen.
Das Anwesen mit dem Pool ist ein toskanischer Traum - es liegt sehr idyllisch am Berg. Allerdings braucht man tatsächlich um dort rauf zu kommen ein Auto mit Bodenfreiheit :-).
Auch für Ausflüge nach Lucca, Florenz, Pisa oder auch mal ans Meer ist Il Forno perfekt gelegen. Es ist alles gut erreichbar.
Die Vermittlung und der Kontakt mit der Agentur hat alles super geklappt und war sehr nett.
Ich denke, wir werden Marina bestimmt mal wieder besuchen ;-)
Das Restaurant Colosseo und die Osteria Da Giomo sind sehr zu empfehlen! Reservierung ist allerding bei beiden erforderlich
