A smart two-storey stone villa rising out of the heart of an organic farming estate, Casa Andrea is a stylish bolthole particularly well-suited to couples who wish to holiday together. Here, you can while away the days exploring the cliff-top city of Orvieto, home to a 13th-century cathedral and the National Archaeological Museum, or strike out into the Umbrian countryside on the complimentary bikes that are provided for guests.
After a day’s exploring, the villa and its peaceful gardens are a sanctuary. Pull up a lounger by the private pool to catch the sun’s last rays, or enjoy the views of the gently sloping fields at sunset from the sofa on the main terrace. Inside, the recently renovated villa seamlessly blends the new with original features such as the lounge’s exposed stone wall. Communal dinners will be a joy to prepare, with an abundance of homegrown farm produce for the table and plenty of space for convivial evenings. When it’s time to retire, you’ve a choice of four beautifully furnished double bedrooms for some well-deserved rest.
We love this villa for its situation on a working organic farm estate, giving an authentic taste of the Umbrian countryside. Not only is the stylishly renovated property a tranquil retreat, but it offers a farm-to-fork experience to our guests, who are able to purchase produce such as milk, eggs, cheese and meat for their meals. The owners also include a free guided tour and tasting at a local organic farmhouse that produces delicious goat’s cheese. There are 4 mountain bikes for guests’ use. The estate is protected from hunting, so is a sanctuary for lots of wildlife. The owner has installed an electric car recharger with solar panels. This means that it is possible to recharge an electric car for free between 8:30am – 6:30pm.

Tolles Haus mit angrenzenden Bio-Hof mit Schweinen, Schafen und Gänsen, den der Hausbesitzer bewirtschaftet. Haben uns bei Andrea sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt, hat auch angeboten für uns ein leckeres Abendessen zu kochen, was wir dankend angenommen haben. :)
Andrea spricht auch ein sehr gutes, verständliches Englisch und war stehts bemüht und hilfsbereit, falls es Fragen zu Restaurants etc gabOrvieto und Bolsena sind Pflicht. Und Rom ist auch sehr gut per Zug erreichbar. Tickets sind noch dazu preislich erschwinglich Gottseidank haben wir den Zug gewählt, laut Andrea ist Rom mit dem Auto ein Dschungel. ;D Restaurantempfehlungen: Girarrosto Del Buongustaio (Mega Essen und Mega Ausblick auf Orvieto) Trattoria del Conte (Gutes Essen und bei einheimischen sehr beliebt, 500meter Luftlinie vom Haus entfernt) Il Gabbiano (herrliches Ambiente direkt am Strand von Bolsena)
