Set on the main square in the pretty medieval village of Toriella, Casa Reasco will put you at the heart of local life, just a few strides away from a shop, restaurant and bar, where you can pull up a chair with a cappuccino or a glass of wine and watch the world go by. And when you fancy picking up the pace, you’ll be within easy reach of the bustling streets of Siena, Colle di Val d’Elsa and Grosseto.
A rustic charmer, this semi-detached villa tips its hat at country cottage style and oozes history, from its exposed stone walls to its herringbone terracotta tiled floors. The two kitchen-diners offer room for a party of 10 to play with, while bedrooms are neatly staggered across the floors for a little added privacy. Although you’re located at the centre of a village, there’s a sizeable back garden with a small yet perfect pool for cooling off in the heat of the day.

We had a really great time in Torniella. It is a very very small, but lively village. The house is on a tiny square in the middle. There’s a little grocery store, where you can buy bread etc. There are two cafés, one of which is owned by the same owners, Valentina & Francesca, as the house. We were here in August and every night there were dozens of people having drinks. Such a nice atmosphere! There are also two restaurants, one of which is also owned by Valentina & Francesco. We recommend you make reservations on time, because unfortunately we didn’t get the chance to eat here as it was already booked! The other one, Il Boscaiolo, is also very nice.
The house itself is very spacious, it was clean and has all that you need. There’s no airconditioning, but it stays relatively cool inside. The pool in the garden is wonderful !! Valentina and Francesco are great hosts, who live next door and are also available if you have questions or problems.It takes you about an hour to drive to Grosseto or Siena. Both worthwhile, but there’s also lot to see nearby: I Canaloni di Torrente Farma,San Galgano, Bagni do Pietriolo. Nice little villages such as Monteciano, Roccastrada, etc. where you can experience and enjoy the day-to-day live. We enjoyed an absolutely wonderful wine tasting at Tenuta di Gramineta, about 15 min drive from the house! We also can recommend restaurant La Capanna in Monteciano and La Fornaccia in Sassofortina (it look likes a snackbar but never had a better pizza!)
