Casa Torcicoda, Chianni - Pisa and Valdera
Casa Torcicoda offers the perfect family retreat, immersed in the unspoilt countryside. Situated within a hamlet setting. It’s idyllically located by open farm land where the Valdera opens into the Val di Cecina valley. Excellent wine and distinguished extra virgin olive oil are produced from the surrounding scenic landscapes alongside the sweeping grain fields. If you explore the ancient trails around the villa, you’ll discover that fallow deer, hares, wild boars and pheasants run freely here.
This is a Tuscan villa to escape to when you want to get away from it all. It has four beautiful double bedrooms and four bathrooms, two of which are en-suite, an elegant living room and a fully equipped kitchen. Stepping outside, you can enjoy al fresco meals on the covered patio where the shady dining table overlooks the rising hills to the West. Or alternately, relax on the raised external living area where the landscape reaches down the valley to the East. A fragrant garden path leads to a private pool, when you need to take a refreshing dip.
There’s plenty to explore beyond the natural delights on your doorstep. The villa’s views encompass the spectacular Valdera area, including the towns of Chianni 6 Km away and Lajatico 10 Km away, the home town of tenor Andrea Bocelli where he holds annual concerts at the Teatro del Silenzio. The villa's location means there is something for every day-tripper with the medieval walled city of Volterra, the beach resort of Cecina and the outstanding wine region of Bolgheri all within 30 Km.
Of course, you can just sit out on your terrace and hold your own tasting as the sun sets on another perfect Tuscan day at Casa Torcicoda.

Guest reviews: Casa Torcicoda
Really beautiful country house with large garden and nice views to the countryside and to Volterra and Lajatico. The house is really spacious and comfortable with authentic Tuscan atmosphere.Chianni, the closest town, is beautiful and has a nice bakery (Forno Di Chianni) and restaurants (Le Vecchie Cantine was nice). We visited also Lajatico (hometown of Andrea Bocelli), Volterra, San Gimignano and Lucca which are all worth seeing.
