Wir verbrachten zu Pfingsten eine wundervolle Woche im Ferienhaus I Sorbi. Die Kommunikation und der Empfang mit der Vermieterin Laura war perfekt und sehr herzlich. Das Ferienhaus lässt keine Wünsche offen. Mückenschutzgitter, genug Steckdosen, ein Föhn, viele Kleiderbügel in den Schränken uvm. - alles ist vorhanden. Das riesige Grundstück mit Olivenbäumen, Zypressen, hohen Hecken für die Privatsphäre, einer schattigen Pergola und dem großen Pool lädt zum Verweilen und Entspannen ein. Auch unsere Hündin fühlte sich hier pudelwohl, da sie sich im komplett eingezäunten Grundstück frei bewegen konnte. Ein Highlight in dieser Wohlfühloase sind die Tiere, Pferde, Hühner, eine Katze, eine Gans und die beiden Esel. Diese werden jeden Abend von Laura's Mann Allesandro liebevoll versorgt. Ebenso kümmert er sich jeden Morgen mit großer Diskretion um den Pool. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr günstig gelegen, einen kleinen Coop und eine gute Pizzeria gibt es im Ort, einen riesigen Coop und Lidl im 16 Minuten entfernten Montevarchi. Wir machten Ausflüge nach Florenz, San Gimignano und ins bezaubernde Arezzo. Die Stadt Siena ist auch nicht weit, aber diese kannten wir bereits. Wir werden das Ferienhaus I Sorbi auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

Notre premier séjour à I Sorbi et sûrement pas le dernier ! Nous avons passé une semaine inoubliable dans ce petit havre de paix, entourés par les animaux du domaine avec une grande surprise le lendemain de notre arrivée avec la naissance imprévue d’un petit ânon qui a fait le bonheur de nos filles durant 1 semaine.
Des souvenirs pleins la tête dans cette charmante propriété propice au repos et au bien être. De charmants restaurants dans les alentours, de magnifiques villages perchés, la Toscane telle qu’on l’imagine !
Un grand merci à notre charmante hôtesse Laura toujours aux petits soins et à Alessandro, très prévenant. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter a I Sorbi !

Lovely cottage, clean as described.

Our second trip to I Sorbi. We were late arriving thanks to Ryanair rescheduling our flights, but Laura met us as promised at 10pm. We had such a fantastic time here in 2019 and felt we had to return - the property is very private, and lies just outside Bucine. There are beautiful spacious grounds and a fabulous well maintained swimming pool. It is evident a lot of love and attention has gone into I Sorbi, and the wonderful skills of Alessandro are everywhere. We had idyllic days in the garden, and evenings barbecuing and eating below a vine sheltered table. We held table tennis tournaments on the outdoor table every evening until late, generally very late indeed! In 2019 we were delighted to meet Melinda, the donkey. Unfortunately Melinda is no longer, having lived to a ripe old age, but Dora the Donkey is now in residence and I challenge anyone not to fall in love with her delighted heehaws when people arrive on site.

Laura and Alessandro always ensured we had everything we needed - which we did - and were very caring and yet unintrusive hosts. They live a short drive from the property,

The whole family highly recommends I Sorbi, and hope to return again soon.

We had a private cellar tour, wine tasting and dinner at the Poggio Molina vineyard. They picked us up from I Sorbi and took us home afterwards. This was a very special and delightful evening which we will not forget. We used the Bucine restaurants and found them to be well priced and most enjoyable - our favourite is Il Paguro. We had lunch in Panzano at the restaurant of Dario Cecchini (an Italian celebrity chef), which was a fab experience (but you must like meat!, and not really suitable for children under about 14). If you want to go then book well in advance - probably months! We managed a few drives around the Chiantis, and a day in Firenze courtesy of the railway (which is well priced and easily accessible at either Bucine or Montevarchi). We didn't go to Siena, having been disappointed in 2019 by the sheer volume of tourists, but Arezzo is a special town with lots to see and loads going on.

C'est la troisième fois que nous séjournions à I Sorbi. Nous avons toujours été très bien accueillis par les propriétaires, Laura et Alessandro, qui sont très prévenants et à l'écoute.
La villa est idéalement située entre Arezzo, Sienne et Florence, ce qui permet d'accéder à de nombreuses villes, sites et monuments de la région ainsi qu'au vignoble du Chianti en moins de 45 minutes de route. La gare voisine de Montevarchi permet de se rendre facilement à Florence sans s'encombrer d'une voiture. Un petit marché hebdomadaire se tient à Bucine où l'on trouve aussi quelques commerces sympathiques, notamment la boucherie de Luciano.
La villa est propre, simple, bien aménagée et on y dispose de tout ce qu'il faut, à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur. L'immense terrain est superbe avec ses nombreux arbres (cyprès, oliviers...) et ses haies qui compartimentent judicieusement l'espace. Une belle terrasse abritée par une vieille vigne permet de manger à l'ombre à toute heure. La grande piscine, parfaite pour faire des longueurs, est nettoyée tous les matins par Alessandro avec la plus grande discrétion. C'est aussi lui qui nourrit les animaux présents sur la propriété : chats, poules, oies, chevaux et un âne très attachant. L'endroit est très calme, isolé sans être au bout du monde, et à l'abri des regards.
En bref, I Sorbi est un lieu idéal pour passer des vacances reposantes et découvrir la Toscane. Nous y retournerons encore avec plaisir dans les années à venir !
