La Rana is a welcoming Chianti holiday home on the edge of the pretty village of San Sano, ideal for a family of four or two couples. The well-maintained garden offers beautiful views over vineyards and the gentle Chianti hills. Two furnished terraces invite guests to relax: one with a comfortable seating area and another with a dining table, perfect for shared meals outdoors. The private pool is quietly set within the garden and provides a refreshing escape on warm days.
The villa enjoys an excellent position in the Chianti Classico region, with easy access to the area’s renowned wineries and castles, as well as its medieval towns and villages. The cultural highlights of Siena, San Gimignano, Florence and Arezzo can all be reached on day trips. Gaiole in Chianti is just ten minutes away by car and offers several restaurants, small shops, a COOP supermarket and bike rentals.
San Sano itself is a picturesque village full of Tuscan charm. Just a few minutes’ walk from the villa is the popular restaurant La Grotta della Rana, which also stocks a small selection of groceries. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walking and cycling, and the lovely village of Lecchi in Chianti can also be reached on foot.
La Rana is a two-storey stone house with a thoughtful layout. The ground floor living area opens to the garden, while the bedrooms on the upper floor offer peace and pleasant views. A covered terrace beside the house is perfect for long evenings with good food and wine.
Inside, the villa combines traditional Tuscan style with warm comfort. Wooden beam ceilings, terracotta floors and thoughtfully chosen furnishings create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. It’s a wonderful choice for guests who appreciate authenticity and comfort.
With its private garden, lovely pool, proximity to a charming village and peaceful rural setting, La Rana offers a delightful Tuscan holiday experience for families or friends.

To nasz kolejny wyjazd z To-Toskania do Toskanii.
Jak zawsze stan domu, warunki ze zdjęć i opisu są zgodne ze stanem willi zastanym na miejscu i jak zawsze bardzo dobry kontakt i pomoc ze strony Pana Mikołaja z To-Toskania.
La Rana spełniła nasze oczekiwania. To przestronny dom w malutkiej wiosce San Sano. Duża przestrzeń na zewnątrz, przepiękne widoki na winnice i odległe miasteczka, kilka tarasów do spędzenia czasu na zewnątrz z parasolami do ochrony przed słońcem, duży basen z leżakami. Dom, wioska, otoczenie to jest podsumowanie wyobrażenia o Toskanii.
W domu jest wszystko co było nam potrzebne, zarówno w kuchni jak i pokojach. Łóżko bardzo wygodne, piękna, czysta pościel, ręczniki.
Właściciel bardzo sympatyczny, pogodny, kontakt tylko w języku włoskim.
Obok domu restauracja oraz malutki sklepik należące do właściciela domu.
W restauracji można pysznie zjeść w bardzo miłej atmosferze.W związku z tym, że był to nasz kolejny pobyt w Toskanii to nie mieliśmy tzw „must have to see”. Ale zawsze warto odwiedzić Florencję, Sienę, Pizę, Pienzę, San Gimignano, Montepukciano. Jednak nasze serca skradły maleńkie miasteczka i wioski. Warto wybrać się na spacer ścieżkami po okolicznych winnicach. Warto zjeść w La Grotta Della Rana, Malborghetto w Lecchi, pizzę w Radda in Chianti w Pizza Pie, La Vin Osteria, lody w Castellina.
