La Vigna is a traditional Tuscan stone built house occupying a quiet corner at the end of a small terrace. It has it's own private garden furnished with terraces and private Jacuzzi and shares a border with the neighbouring vineyard Castello di Ama, one of the Chianti regions finest wine producers. There are terracotta flooring and terracotta ceilings throughout La Vigna.

The accommodations is arranged over two floors with oak beamed ceilings and terracotta tiled floors throughout. The main entrance leads directly into a large comfortably furnished lounge, including  two arm chairs, TV Sat (news only) with DVD, CD player and open fireplace.

Doors lead off the lounge to the gardens, and the well equipped kitchen which has an electric oven, gas hobs, a large fridge with freezer section, a dishwasher and dining table and chairs.

A spiral staircase leads from the kitchen up to the landing area where the bathroom with shower and two bedrooms one double one twin bedded are situated. Both bedrooms have wonderful views over the neighbouring vineyard and the hillside beyond.
The large garden is stocked with mature shrubs and fragrant flowers from the Tuscany region, surrounding a furnished sun terrace. Alternatively for those leisurely long meal times 'al fresco' or for those wishing to take a break from the heat of the day there is a second covered terrace with dining table and chairs.
La Vigna has the added advantage of a private Jacuzzi exclusive to guests of La Vigna. The owners have carefully considered the position of the Jacuzzi to maximise the view of the spectacular, surrounding Chianti countryside. The decking at the edge of the Jacuzzi is the perfect place to sit and star gaze in the evenings. The Jacuzzi is for four people, open all year round and can be heated for an extra charge.

There is a furnished sun terrace in La Vigna's private olive grove.

Both bedrooms can be made into twin on request.

Resort: Montebuoni

The village of Montebuoni is the perfect location for your dream holiday in this unspoilt corner of Tuscany. Situated along the crest of a gently rolling hill; wonderful, picture postcard views delight the eye in all directions. The private houses and apartments that make up Montebuoni blend in perfectly with the landscape of olive groves and vineyards.
Once a large estate producing wine and olive oil, the original stone buildings have been sympathetically restored to recreate the feeing of an authentic Tuscan village. Inside the houses are well equipped and furnished to a high standard. Most have their own private terrace or balcony and some have their own garden.
Arriving at Montebuoni cars are left in the car park under the shade of the olive trees. Gravel paths flanked by aromatic plants and beautifully landscaped gardens lead to the houses. Strolling through an area of parkland under the shade of oak, pine and cypress trees picnic tables and benches invite one to linger and admire the view before arriving at the pool area and the nearby full size astro-turf tennis court.
Montebuoni is the perfect place to unwind in the beauty of it’s natural setting, or, for the more energetic, to take time out for an early morning run, swim or bike ride. Take advantage of bread and milk delivered freshly to your door each morning. Just place your order at arrival check-in.
The historic towns of Siena, Florence and Arezzo are easily accessible by car. Local villages are a delight to discover. Stop for a cappuccino and visit the local grocery store in the nearby village of Lecchi to stock up on local wines  and fresh produce. There are several highly regarded, family run, restaurants within a short drive.
This area of Chianti is the home of the Gallo Nero Chianti Classico wines. The vineyard of Castello di Ama, one of the regins prestigious small scale wine producers, is on the door step. Holiday makers at Montebuoni are warmly welcomed to the wine tasting sessions held there weekly during the summer.

Approach road - 1.5 km very good unpaved road

We had a wonderful holiday at La Vigna celebrating our wedding anniversary and a big birthday each! The weather was lovely and warm, the people so friendly and helpful where ever we went to visit.
We've stayed in a lot of villas , houses through out Europe and this was our favourite place. We will be back! Mark &Jen
Local attractions There is so much to see and do within an hour or two drive. We loved Siena,San Gimignano, Volterra and Florence. The local towns and villages are very nice with great restaurants and nice wee shops with friendly locals. The local shop /cafe / bar in Lecchi is a treat, we were looked after so well, great local produce and the lunch was superb! Also the restaurant Malborghetto in Lecchi was excellent! Mark&Jen.

A very comfortable property in a quiet position in the hamlet. We particularly liked the covered terrace which we used everyday, overlooking the garden full of bees & butterflies. The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery.
We enjoyed having bread and croissants delivered fresh for breakfasts by Sabine in the office, who is very friendly and speaks excellent English.
A highlight was the wine tasting at Casanuovo di Ama-accompanied by Daniela's wonderful Tuscan buffet.
The pool area is very tidy and never very busy, always with a nice cooling breeze, and the hamlet was a great place for a quiet relaxing holiday.
Local attractions Malborghetta restaurant in Lecchi is excellent, super food and wine and Simone the owner is a wonderful host. Good thin crispy lunchtime pizzas at Locanda di Sant' Agostino in San Gimignano We visited Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pienza and Arezzo which were all very attractive and interesting and, with the exception of Siena and San Gimignano, not too busy.

La Vigna far far exceeded our expectations. From the minute we arrived we felt relaxed and calm and sitting in the beautiful garden surrounded by the stunning planting and listening to the birds was just bliss. We were there off season, so it was extremely quiet and we mostly had the refreshingly cool shared pool all to ourselves. Montebuoni is ideally located for exploring Tuscany and discovering hidden gems on route to Siena and San Giminiano. There were four adults in our party, but the fact there was a jacuzzi at the bottom of the garden meant that La Vigna didn't feel cramped - and we loved the stone barbecue that we made good use of, as well as the excellent coffee machine. All in all a lovely stay and we hope to return.
Local attractions The nearby Casanuevo vineyard is well worth a visit for a relaxed wine tasting and great value wines. Plenty of restaurants and bars in Radda, plus a very well stocked Coop there that we made very good use of. Castello di Brollo is an excellent day out with a great restaurant serving a more interesting than average menu and visits to San Giminiano and Siena are a must.

Due to previous miscommunication with our prior booking, Dick and Lisa were able to accommodate a move for us to this villa extremely quickly. It was only 15 km away from the current villa we were at. Once we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome from Gabriella. The Jacuzzi was amazing and the privacy was outstanding. Will absolutely book this villa again in the summertime.

We arrived in the dark which was exciting as we had come across a few deer on the road. There was a fabulous hamper waiting for us so didn't need to venture out again...lit the fire and had a delicious pasta dinner. Over the next few days we explored during the day and had some delicious lunches out - recommended by friends and the very informative folder in La Vigna. Karen from To Tuscany had been extremely informative and so followed her email advice. Visited Florence by train and caught up with a friend in Siena. We decided to enjoy our jacuzzi, open fire and some local delicacies for our dinners, safely tucked back at La Vigna. The vineyards and a lot of restaurants didn't open for another week but we still managed to find a lot of lovely places to visit. La Vigna had everything - we were more than comfortable and had some lovely walks around the Estate. We woke to lovely sunshine every morning. We would return there.
Local attractions Oh my...I should have kept more business cards from restaurants....Siena was just beautiful - we wandered deeper into the back streets and found a fabulous restaurant. We had a fabulous/atmospheric meal at La Grotta della Rana in San Sano. The train trip to Florence was easy and we had an amazing lunch at Za Za (make sure you sit inside - very atmospheric) - watched the Epiphany parade and enjoyed learning the tradition of La Befana. We got familiar with the parking station at the Train Station as it was a bit daunting parking around Siena and there was easy access everywhere from there and only cost 2 Euro to leave the car there all day. Had a lovely walk around Radda In Chianti. Overall a fabulous holiday.

We enjoyed our stay at La Vigna. We loved the hot tub and especially watching the night sky from it in the evenings. The pool was lovely; often we had it to ourselves, and we used the tennis court a few times. The villa itself is quite small but perfectly adequate. We were a bit sad that we didn't get a sunset view from the villa, but we went up to the top of the hill for the view on the other side of the valley. More chopping boards in the kitchen would have been good - there was only one bread board. The bottle shelf in the fridge was broken when we arrived and we told reception about this - we had to take it out of the fridge and not use it. Also there were so many wasps during the day that we couldn't eat on the terrace at lunchtime, which was a real shame. There must be a wasp's nest nearby I think. Bring mosquito repellent as I and my daughter and son were bitten a lot, but my husband wasn't touched!
Local attractions We went to Siena and saw the Palio practice-run, really loved the wine-tasting walk to Casanuova di Ama, went to Badia a Coltibuono for lunch one day, loved the pizzeria in Gaiole; also had a little wander around Radda, which was beautiful.

Thank you for your review. We were glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at La Vigna. The owner apologises about the broken bottle shelf and a new one has been ordered They will also supply more chopping boards. Unfortunately, there has been an exceptional amount of wasps and insects due to the weather conditions in the Tuscan countryside. The property management are always very vigilant and look out for nests around the hamlet.

Montebuoni liegt sehr abseits.

La Vigna is full of Tuscan charm and character. The views from the private Jacuzzi are fabulous. Secluded gardens where you can relax and enjoy the smell of the lavender all around you.
All modern convenience found in the kitchen, which is particularly well equipped. The owners take great care of this villa.
