Villa location
Guest reviews: Villa Agresto

Beautiful, spacious villa in a stunning location. Very private with spectacular views across the vineyards over to Siena. Lovely, comfortable bedrooms and plenty of living space. Gorgeous garden and pool. There were 10 of us on this trip, and there was plenty of room for us all but we never felt on top of each other - lots of large spaces to be together or plenty of small nooks away from everyone to curl up with a book or have an afternoon kip!. This is the second year our family has stayed at Agresto and we love it. Check-in was very easy this year with the key safe. Also, the table tennis table was a genius addition this year - very well used!
The staff are very friendly and helpful - always on hand if you need them, but leave you well alone if you don’t.Tour of Brolio castle and winery (oldest in Italy) is a must, as well as the wine tasting. And either lunch and/or dinner at the restaurant there is also excellent. If you’re into Italian ceramics, there’s a lovely little shop in Gaiole. The lady makes the pottery on site and can ship. A cooking class is also well worth it. We spent an excellent morning with chef Simone - small group cooking class in a Chianti farmhouse. Beautiful medieval towns of Siena and San Gimignano are nearby. Once you tire of the stunning architecture, leather goods shopping and lovely cafes and restaurants, the various torture museums there are gruesomely fascinating!
