La Locanda del Moro is a distinctive rural estate in northern Tuscany, beautifully positioned on a hillside in the unspoilt landscape of the Garfagnana. The former farmhouse has been sensitively restored and converted into just two stylish holiday apartments, each with its own furnished terrace. Thanks to its elevated setting, the property enjoys extraordinary views across mountains and valleys, impressive at any time of day and in every season. Surrounded by nature, La Locanda del Moro is an excellent choice for guests seeking an active yet peaceful holiday away from Tuscany’s more familiar routes. A true highlight is the beautiful infinity shared pool, seamlessly blending into the landscape and offering breathtaking panoramic views.
The small village of Sillico is only a short walk away and offers a good restaurant and a small shop. Around seven kilometres away lies Pieve Fosciana, where all essential amenities including supermarkets are available. The Garfagnana is ideal for outdoor pursuits such as hiking, mountain biking and canoeing. The area around Sillico also lies along historic medieval pilgrimage routes across the Apennines and features over 30 kilometres of well-marked trails passing through beautiful landscapes, villages, ancient mills and hermitages. The owners, who live on site, are happy to assist guests with outdoor activities and also provide local products such as homemade jams and cheeses. For a cultural day trip, the charming city of Lucca is about an hour away by car, renowned for its many churches and magnificent intact city walls.

Il Lonfo is a ground floor villa with a warm, homely atmosphere. Original wooden beam ceilings and walls painted in soft pastel tones are complemented by a tasteful mix of traditional Tuscan and contemporary furnishings. Outside, a furnished terrace invites you to enjoy meals al fresco, relax and take in the wide, exceptional views.
