Scorpione at Montefiorile, Lecchi in Chianti - Gaiole in Chianti - Siena and Chianti

We had an amazing stay at Loredana’s place. The cottage was super private and the view is magical! The hot tub was already heated and ready for us when we arrived and we used it many times every day which felt so relaxing. The place is just as described. The bed and linens were super comfortable and we loved to cuddle up on the couch by the fireplace in the evenings. We were within a short drive of many castles, vineyards, hikes and delicious restaurants which was all we needed! Perfect place for a romantic getaway in the Chianti region 

We had the most wonderful five-night stay at this beautiful Tuscan villa! From the moment we arrived, the hosts were incredibly warm, welcoming, and responsive – they truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. We were greeted with a complimentary bottle of local red wine and even surprised with fresh eggs from their farm, which was such a thoughtful touch. The setting was peaceful and picturesque – the kind of place that makes you instantly relax and never want to leave. We’ve already had so many friends and family asking for the link so they can book their own stay here, and we’re already planning to return ourselves, hopefully in the summer next year! We absolutely loved every moment – thank you so much for such a memorable experience!

The Villa Scorpione is lovely , the view from the windows and balcony across the valley is just beautiful.
Its situation in a small complex of other villas is really nice. so peaceful and the sky at night is fantastic.
Very relaxing villa.

Trattoria 4 Leoni in Florence - super restaurant , lovely food

We had a fabulous week at Scorpione. The accommodation was spacious and light with outstanding views to the rear. My wife enjoyed sketching from the balcony and we relaxed with a glass of Chianti on the outside seating area. The location was fantastic for exploring Tuscany, vineyards, the Chianti towns and Siena. We also took in the sights at Pisa on way from the airport. The service and support from the team at To Tuscany was excellent from enquiry through to this survey. We certainly plan to be back with a repeat booking sometime soon.

We enjoyed wine tasting in Radda, the market at Greve and the art at Castello di ama.

Vanaf de doorgaande weg ging de weg naar het appartement over in een onverhard pad met veel kuilen. Vanaf dat het donker was ging de hond aan de overkant bijna aan één stuk door blaffen tot 's morgens dat het licht werd en toen ging de haan kraaien. Eenmaal bij het appartement was de ligging prima. Heerlijk met de jaccuzi.

Omdat het weer nogal wisselvallig was hebben we gelukkig leuke uitstapjes gemaakt naar Siena,San Gimignano, Radda, Lecchi en Florance. We zijn in Lecchi bij Malborghetto wezen eten. Echt heerlijk en een aanrader! Vaak aan het einde van de middag trok en helemaal dicht en ging het regen, zelfs een paar keer code oranje dus bleven we liever bij het appartement vanwege de onverharde weg en de afstanden die we dan fouten moeten rijden in het donker.

We had a wonderful stay in Scorpione. We arrived late, but found the key, and thanks to the enclosed map, the house, easily. The next morning, the view from the balcony more than made up for what in the dark had been a slightly worrying approach road (and in daylight, the road wasn't half bad). Next time, we'll just arrive earlier.
The apartment itself is super cosy and ideal for two, but we also had enough space and equipment to have dinner with friends who were there at the same time. The dishwasher was of great help.

The whirlpool needed some time to preheat because we didn't want to leave it running the whole time. In the end, the price was still reasonable and it was a great way to relax after long days exploring, especially thanks to the view. Mosquito repellent is definitely necessary for any outside activity though. The large communal pool was a bit too cold for us personally, but was always pretty quiet when we passed it, and looked a good size.

Because we arrived late and knew we wouldn't have time to shop the first night, we had booked the starter package in advance, which provided everything we needed for dinner and breakfast. We can now also highly recommend the olive oil and balsamic vinegar sold on site, and ended up taking several bottles home with us.

We mostly explored within the region, there is plenty to do within half an hour or so drive. For groceries, we went to the coop in Radda, here there's also Bar Dante for breakfast, Casa Porciatti for more speciality foods and great sandwiches, and Bottega Di Giovanni for a very fairly priced, extremely tasty home cooked dinner. In Castellina, we visited the fortress and the adjacent museum, and can recommend Gelateria Di Castellina (the one on the outskirts) We also visited Gaiole (although we got the timing slightly wrong, and much was closed), the Castello di Brolio for lovely views and part of our group enjoyed the hikes close to the villa. Day trips to Siena and Montevarchi, here especially the palaeontology museum. Pleasantly surprised: most museums offered a student discount even to foreign students, definitely worth asking.

Het begon al bij het inchecken, zeer vriendelijk en service gericht. Ook de persoonlijke WhatsApp groep die door de organisatie was aangemaakt werkte perfect, altijd een zeer snelle reactie. Heel fijn was de broodservice elke ochtend….in een tasje aan de voordeur zaten heerlijk croissantjes en stokbrood. Vakantiehuis perfect, locatie en omgeving prachtig. Vele heerlijke restaurantjes!

Favoriete restaurant was Malborghetto in Lecchi in Chianti, 5 minuutjes met de auto. Verder hebben we genoten van de mooie omgeving, zijn in Siena, Florence, Pisa en Lucca geweest en hebben vele middeleeuwse stadjes bezocht zoals San Gimignano.

Traumlage für Personen, die gerne Ruhe haben möchten; wir haben dies mit unserem Hund sehr genossen; einfach idyllisch; positiv auch die Frühstücklieferung; noch nie haben wir in einer Ferienanlage so viele Naturalien und Behelfe vorgefunden, wie Kaffeefilter, Spülmittel, Klopapier etc. etc. (das haben wir äußerst positiv empfunden). Die Lage des Scorpione ist jedenfalls sehr positiv zu bewerten - war für uns die richtige Entscheidung.

Aufgrund gesundheitlichen Situationen haben wir die kleineren Orte in der Umgebung erkundschaftet, wie Lecchi (hier zu empfehlen, wie bereits mehrfach erwähnt in den Bewertungen das "Malborghetto" - köstlich hier gespeist); Castellina,, Gaiole, San Sano; Volpaia - auch hier gut gespeist im "La Bottega" - überall sehr nette Leute.

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gut gelegen und hat eine grandiose Aussicht. Kein Verkehr, kein Lärm, alles ist gut zu erreichen. Das Serviceteam ist sehr freundlich und engagiert. Zur Begrüßung gab es eine Flasche Chianti. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet mit allem Notwendigen (Heizung, Klimaanlage, Fernseher und CD-Spieler, verschiedene Kaffeemaschinen und Toaster, Wasch- und Spülmaschine usw.), wir hätten uns vielleicht einen Backofen gewünscht anstatt der Mikrowelle mit italienischen Bedienelementen. Aber das ist nicht so wichtig.

Im Casanuova die Ama konnten wir eine sehr schöne Weinprobe genießen. In Lecchi haben wir sehr gut gegessen, toskanische Küche. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns Arezzo. Nach Florenz sind wir ab Montevarchi (kostenloser Parkplatz am Bahnhof) mit dem Zug gefahren, um uns den Parkstress in Florenz zu ersparen. Sehenswert ist auch Castello Brioli.
