Bella Vista is situated in the centre of Montebuoni’s historic buildings, just off the main piazza of the hamlet. Located on the second floor, this one bedroomed apartment is great for couples and has views from the windows across the Tuscan countryside.
The apartment has terracotta tiled flooring throughout and gently sloping, beamed ceilings in the living area and bathroom. Clever use of skylight roof windows ensure that extra light floods the apartment in both the lounge and the bathroom.
The fully furnished kitchen has wooden units with a built in oven with gas hobs, fridge with ice-box section, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. The living area has comfortable sofas arranged around a coffee table (one of which is a sofabed), dining table and chairs. There is also a CD player and iPod docking station. From the windows, there are great views across to the hillside opposite, and the Castello di San Polo in Rosso on the hilltop.
A small corridor from the lounge, leads to the bedroom and to the bathroom. On the left a door leads into the spacious bedroom which has a gently sloping painted ceiling, fitted wardrobes down one wall and a queen size wrought iron bed. There is a sofa and armchair and views of the vineyards and olive groves from the window.

The attractively tiled bathroom at the end of the corridor still has the original wooden beams from the time the building was used as a bakery. The bathroom has WC, luxury shower, basin and towel rail. The skylight roof window is particularly useful in giving extra light to this room.

The private terrace with table and two chairs is located on the first floor, just at the bottom of the stairs to Bella Vista.  There are fantastic views across to the romantic Chapel of the Montebuoni hamlet and is an ideal place to sit with a book and a glass of wine.

Tennis racquets available in the house.

High-speed wireless internet access available for an additional small fee per week. Please bring your own laptop.

Montebuoni with pool and tennis
Discover the enchanting Tuscany in central Italy. On a ridge overlooking the beautiful Tuscan countryside with its olive groves and vineyards, lies the undiscovered Montebuoni, a group of private villas and apartments surrounded by olive groves and beautifully manicured gardens and courtyards.

The large swimming pool is to one side of the hamlet, surrounded by mature shrubs and trees, with views of the rolling hillside in the distance. This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this unspoilt heaven. The swimming pool is 15 metres x 7.5 metres and is accessed by ladder. There is also a small children’s swimming pool, which has a constant depth of one metre. Both pools are open from April to October (weather permitting)
Montebuoni was once a large estate producing wine and olive oil.  It is these original buildings which have been restored and modernised to a very high standard, whilst still maintaining many of the original features, which make Montebuoni such a great place to stay.  All the properties are fully furnished and well equipped, most have their own private terraces or balconies and some have their own garden.
Montebuoni has its own full size astro-turf tennis court located in the grounds near the pool area. There is a small typical Chianti village a short walk from the hamlet, with a grocery store which stocks all the basics, plus local wines, oils, hams and cheeses. Visit the next door vineyard Castello di Ama one of the Chianti regions finest wine producers for a wine tasting session.

For those who wish to explore the areas major cities and museums the hamlet is ideally located for day excursions to Florence, Siena, Arezzo and Pisa as well as discovering the smaller unknown Tuscan villages. Check out the events calendar on our home page to see if there are any festivals or events taking place that you can enjoy during your stay.

Pros The position of the hamlet was excellent. It was peaceful and relaxing - just what we needed. The pool facilities were great. Waking up to the beauty that remained until we went to bed. The perfect place to be.
Cons The only suggestion would be the benefit of air conditioning within the apartment.
Local attractions By far the best restaurant was Malborghetta in Lecchi - could not fault the service, quality of food or value for money. In addition wine tasting at Castello di Ama was an experience not to be missed.

Pros The views from the apartment were amazing and it was lovely to be able to sit out on the balcony to eat or drink and relax. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained and so was the swimming pool. Free use of the washing machine in the pool house was an unexpected bonus.
Cons When we arrived, unfortunately, the couple in the next door apartment were using the patio table and chairs. They maintained that it was for their use and that they had been using it all week. Fortunately, after a word with the management staff, the problem was quickly resolved with no ill feeling at all. However perhaps the whole problem could have been avoided if a sign or note were placed on the table itself to make it clear that use of it was restricted to those renting Bella Vista. A couple of extra pillows would have been useful too.
Local attractions Pizza Pie at Rhaddi in Chianti is a must. Great value, excellent food and good atmosphere. Be prepared to eat pizza the size of your table!

Pros Fantastic views across the valleys over the Tuscan countryside. Attractive set of buildings surrounded by well kept gardens full of lavenders and roses. Our apartment was cool and well furnished with a comfortable bed and modern shower room. We enjoyed the outside space which we had on the terrace with a patio table and two chairs. Ideal for an aperitif and meals. The staff were extremely helpful and quick to respond to requests.
Cons I hadn't realised that we shared the terrace with the neighbours to the right of us. Luckily, we got on but I thought that it would be more private. I also felt sorry for the couple to our left who did not have an eating area outside on the terrace. They tended to keep their door shut, otherwise I think we would have been looking straight into their living room. I think our terrace area could have done with an umbrella for shade (next door had rush matting to shade them) and cushions for the chairs.
Local attractions The trip to Siena was fantastic - seeing the preparations for the pallio horse race. The duomo there was stunning. The wine tasting expedition was great fun - happy memories of the lovely food - the best bruschetta ever! The walk down to Lecchi (though we did get lost) and the lunch at the Ristorante Malborghetto which was imaginative and delicious and very good value.

Cons alles top!!!

What were the highlights of your stay?    Winery tours nearby...walking the vineyards, Lecchi and San Sano were wonderful spots to spend an afternoon.
What was your overall impression of the accommodation?    VERY clean and tastful. Great value for the money. Kitchen size a little limiting though...not for a chef but was adequate for our needs.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises during your stay with us? Centipedes....saw two of them in the unit...no big deal but some might fret. After first day the broiler went out so we didn't have hot water for Easter Sunday. However, I called my contact there and within 20 minutes someone was over and corrected the issue.
Do you have any other comments regarding the accommodation or service? Very friendly personnel, nice accommodations, great value,-hope to come back again soon!

What were the highlights of your holiday? Visiting Siena and the local vineyards. Discovering our own special restaurants and towns in the region.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    Excellent.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? It isn't an unpleasant surprise, but my only comment is that the apartment needed a few basic supplies such as dishwashing soap, sugar, paper towel and saran wrap. We had brought soap and toilet paper and coffee for example but when you are travelling overseas, these basics are not things that you bring or would take home. We left the items we had purchased behind. It isn't the expense of the supplies but the convenience. I would rather pay a bit more and have them on hand upon arrival
Do you have any other comments? No, we were very happy with the accomodations and would go back (in a heartbeat!). Your service was great and we would book through you again. I have already recommended your site to friends.

Was waren die Highlights Ihres Urlaubs?
