Located in the hamlets beautifully planted central courtyard is Casa Vecchia. Fully modernised but retaining some of the buildings original features, this property is ideally suited to both couples and families.
The entrance opens into the open plan lounge, kitchen and diner with its traditional Tuscan beamed ceilings and terracotta tiled floors. The comfortably furnished lounge has two armchairs and a spacious sofa. The original brick archway leads into the kitchen which is fully equipped with oven, gas hobs, fridge with freezer section, microwave, dishwasher and breakfast bar. The dining area with dining suite is located in an alcove to the right of the kitchen.

A modern spiral staircase leads from the lounge up to the first floor landing area.  From here there are doors to the bright modern double bedroom, a large single bedroom with Television and a bathroom with shower.
Outside is a large raised tiled terrace, with dining table and chairs.  From here there are wide ranging views of olive groves, vineyards and in the distance Monte Amiata, one of Tuscany’s highest peaks.  A perfect place to relax during the day or sit with a glass of wine as the sun goes down in the evening.

Montebuoni with pool and tennis
Discover the enchanting Tuscany in central Italy. On a ridge overlooking the beautiful Tuscan countryside with its olive groves and vineyards, lies the undiscovered Montebuoni, a group of private villas and apartments surrounded by olive groves and beautifully manicured gardens and courtyards.

The large swimming pool is to one side of the hamlet, surrounded by mature shrubs and trees, with views of the rolling hillside in the distance. This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this unspoilt heaven. The swimming pool is 15 metres x 7.5 metres and is accessed by ladder. There is also a small children’s swimming pool, which has a constant depth of one metre. Both pools are open from April to October (weather permitting)
Montebuoni was once a large estate producing wine and olive oil.  It is these original buildings which have been restored and modernised to a very high standard, whilst still maintaining many of the original features, which make Montebuoni such a great place to stay.  All the properties are fully furnished and well equipped, most have their own private terraces or balconies and some have their own garden.
Montebuoni has its own full size astro-turf tennis court located in the grounds near the pool area. There is a small typical Chianti village a short walk from the hamlet, with a grocery store which stocks all the basics, plus local wines, oils, hams and cheeses. Visit the next door vineyard Castello di Ama one of the Chianti regions finest wine producers for a wine tasting session.

For those who wish to explore the areas major cities and museums the hamlet is ideally located for day excursions to Florence, Siena, Arezzo and Pisa as well as discovering the smaller unknown Tuscan villages. Check out the events calendar on our home page to see if there are any festivals or events taking place that you can enjoy during your stay.

Pros I recently visited the owners of Casa Vecchia at the villa who have made some great improvements to the villa. I have known the owners for many years and their approach has always been to listen to the guests needs and constantly make improvements to their villa to match client's requests.

The owners have placed a new larger fridge freezer. There is a new reading chair with lamp where the dining table was - a new dining table moved to a more central area of the main floor while the TV, DVD and decoder have their own space in the single bedroom where the bed is prepared as a divan. The single bedroom has a new open wardrobe so there is plenty of hanging space. The bathroom is completely renovated with a new flooring, tiles, shower sink and mirror. The glass door in the shower means the first floor bathroom has one of the best views from a shower you could imagine! In the main bedroom the bed has been replaced and there is a new wardrobe leaving spaces for bedside chair.

The whole villa has been decorated in a bright modern style. On the terrace all the furniture has been completely replaced for high quality outside dining and lounging. There is a new faster Internet system which is included in the rental price.
Cons There is one bathroom.
Local attractions You can walk to Lecchi in Chianti where there is Paolo's bar with a small grocery store. In Lecchi you'll also find a restaurant.

Ansonsten gibt´s nix "Hässliches" drum herum.Wer eine rd. 150 km Fahrt nicht scheut und mal was anderes, modern-alternatives sehen will, dem sei der Giardino dei Tarocchi im Süden der Tosscana östl. Monte Argentario empfohlen.

Pros Breathtaking panoramic views that calmed the soul. Privacy for each apartment with a terrace or garden with wonderful communal facilities including a chapel whose window framed the sunset each evening.
Cons We would have preferred to have been provided with the basic washing up liquid, cloth and spare toilet roll. To not be felt quite stingy.
Local attractions Cads Ana family run vineyard next door. A warm welcome and good, reasonably priced wine. The ice-cream palour at Cantilana - we returned 4 times in a week.

Casa Vecchia
Was waren die Highlights Ihres Urlaubs?
