  • Travel Insurance for your Tuscan Villa Stay

While To Tuscany fulfils its responsibilities to guests under applicable law, guests are responsible for ensuring they have suitable travel insurance for their needs. To Tuscany cannot be held liable for any loss, damage, or expense that may arise if guests choose not to take out adequate insurance.

    Cancellation Insurance
We want you to feel completely relaxed from the moment you book your villa holiday. That’s why we strongly recommend taking out holiday cancellation insurance.

Life is unpredictable - illness, travel disruptions, or unexpected events can sometimes mean you have to cancel or cut short your trip. Cancellation insurance protects the money you’ve invested in your holiday, giving you peace of mind that you won’t lose everything you’ve paid.

    A good policy typically covers:
Illness or Injury - for you, your travelling companions, or close family.
Unexpected Events - such as jury duty or serious incidents at home.
Additional Costs - like re-booking fees or transport expenses if your trip is disrupted.

Think of it as a safety net, you hope you never need it, but it’s invaluable if you do.

    Accidental Damage
Travel insurance doesn’t just protect your holiday plans, it also gives you peace of mind during your stay. Accidents can happen, and the last thing you want on holiday is the stress of unexpected costs if something gets damaged. We recommend choosing a policy that covers accidental damage for you and everyone in your party, so you can relax and enjoy your stay knowing you’re protected.

    Medical Emergencies
EU Citizens Health Insurance - Italy is a member of the European Union (EU) as such all EU citizens are entitled to receive medical care from Italian NHS. The Italian NHS staff might ask you for your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which is issued by EU countries, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and the UK.

Non EU Citizens Health Insurance - If you are not resident in the EU, you are recommended to obtain medical travel insurance. Check the latest Health Advice on Tuscany at your own government's website which should provide regularly updated information on how to stay healthy while traveling abroad, including advice on preventative measures and recommended vaccinations.
