The Best Dog-Friendly Villas in Tuscany

  • We know how important it is to travel with the whole family, and that includes your dog. Dogs are more than pets. They’re loyal companions who make every moment more meaningful. And what could be better than exploring the rolling hills, vineyards, and villages of Tuscany with your four-legged friend by your side?

Tuscany offers a great dog-friendly experience, making it an ideal destination for guests who wish to visit Tuscany with their pets. Dogs are welcome in most restaurants and bars, and many wineries are happy to receive them. In fact, at several estates, you can even enjoy a wine tasting with your dog by your side. Just be sure to check in advance when booking, as policies can vary. There are also plenty of dog-friendly beaches that are every bit as beautiful as the regular ones.

At To Tuscany, we’re proud to offer a wide selection of dog-friendly villas. More than half of our properties welcome dogs, with options to suit every budget. Whether you’re looking for a cozy villa in a hamlet with a shared pool or a luxurious retreat with a private pool, there is something for everyone.

All our dog-friendly villas allow one dog up to 30 kilograms by default. If you are traveling with more than one dog, we are happy to contact our local teams to see if additional dogs can be accepted.

  • FAQs

    1. Can we bring our dog to the villa?
Yes, you're welcome to bring one dog (up to 30kg) to any of our dog-friendly villas. These are clearly marked with a dog symbol, and you can use the “Dog-Friendly Villas” filter when searching to find the right fit.

    2. Can I bring more than one dog?
Possibly. One dog (up to 30kg) is automatically allowed at all dog-friendly villas. If you’d like to bring more than one, please contact our Villa Specialists before booking. We’ll check with the on-site team and let you know what’s possible. Additional charges may apply.

    3. Are there any rules for staying with a dog?
Yes, just a few simple rules. Their sole purpose is to help make everyone’s stay as enjoyable as possible.

    a) Dogs are not allowed in the pool – pool  filtration systems are sensitive to fur and can be costly to repair. If your dog needs to cool off, feel free to ask the site manager for a hose or a tub.

    b) Please keep dogs off furniture such as sofas, armchairs, and beds, as these are difficult to clean and may result in extra charges for hair removal or damage.

    c) In shared outdoor areas, dogs must be kept on a lead. We also ask that owners clean up after their dogs and dispose of waste responsibly.

    d) Even in fully fenced villas, we ask that you supervise your dog at all times. A new environment brings lots of new scents, and curious dogs can sometimes find gaps or spots we humans might overlook.
